University of Indonesia (UI) will build a state of the art hospital within its Depok campus compound, slated to be opened in 2015.
university had coordinated with Depok regional administration in order to be able to serve the regional insurance bearers. that the university would employ the university medical and nursing school graduates to serve at the upcoming UI hospital.
"The hospital will be quake-proof and able to accommodate 900 patients inside a 14- story building. There will also be a stroke center,"Deputy rector Muhammad Anis said as quoted by tempo.co on Saturday. He expected the hospital would ease the burden of Jakarta’s hospitals in treating patients with regional health insurance. Medical School dean Ratna Sitompul confirmed the statement, saying she would prioritize UI resources for work at the hospital. “If later on we can’t fulfill the quota then we will likely be looking from outside the university,” she said.(nai/dic)
